Where is the best location in the car to place my guinea pig carrier for travel? Please help

I am getting nervous about the drive home for the upcoming holiday & am most nervous about where to place the cage in my car. The drive is only 2 hours at most, but which spot in my car will be best??

Do I strap them into the front or back seat? Or place them on the floor? Just want the area to be as comfortable as possible even though I know they are not going to be too pleased with the situation.

Please help! Thanks

If you can fit them on the floor that would be pretty safe, if they don’t fit you can strap them in on the back seat.

Hi, would you give them any romaine or hay if you were me? I will be traveling at most 2 hours but it is usually about a 1 hour 30 minute ride. I have heard guinea pigs might choke while in the car? Although my drive will be pretty smooth and they will probably be too nervous to eat.
Should I put any food in the carrier?

You could also hold the carrier on your lap. I would suggest putting some hay and veggies veggies in the carrier also make sure to bring a water bottle. A blanket/towel would be great to keep the piggies warm and comfortable.

Get a Carrier, not the smal pet ones. like a small dog one. add some hay and sprinkle some pellets, some leece on the surface and the water bottle on the front of the carrier and i agree with either the backseat, well i have an SUV so i cannot tell what you have i am assuming a sedan. so backseat strapped with the middle seat belt.

hay is best in my opinion and give them lettuce at the very start of the trip. oh also if you put them in a small carrier its less likely to throw them around. you can put that hay any where
