Weight Loss

We had my piggy out on Sunday playing and she was eating her hay in the living room. Looked fine. My son had fed her the past few days instead of me. I went in to feed them (we have 2 girls) today and when she was leaning up to get the food - she looked very skinny. I talked to the vet and they said I should feed her alone for a few days b/c maybe the other is not letting her eat after we leave the room. What should I feed her? The normal fruits and veggies along with pellets and hay - just separate?

UPDATE: I separated her from the other last night so I can actually see how much she is eating. She ate some pellets and hay last night, but just nibbled on the carrots. Drank lots of water, which may have been one of the issues. I went home at lunch and gave her some lettuce, which she loves. I am hoping its all gone when I return!

Any thoughts, let me know... She was purring a bit when I was petting her last night.. I am just hoping its lack of food b/c of the other. She is still young, so she has never been super fat, but I cannot remember being able to feel through her before...

Weigh her each day to see how much weight she is actually losing. If it seems like she is losing a lot it may be something more than her not eating alot she may be getting sick . Guinea pigs get sick real easily. So keep an eye on her hopefully all it is the other pig not letting her eat and she gains it back. But if she still seems to be losing weight I would get some critical care just in case to keep feeding her and go back to the vet.
